JavaScript Job: Front End Developer

The Software Engineer (front-end) develops advanced applications and enhancement, systems interfaces, and is primarily responsible for front-end development.

• Full-time opportunity (direct-hire)
• 100% remote

Any experience with Sitecore platform a big plus but certainly NOT required. Need someone to lead on the front-end development - this will be a greenfield opportunity to set the front-end standards Specific attention to the following:

• Ability to write and test front-end web applications using React.js, incorporating industry best practices and techniques for writing maintainable code.
• Ability to build, expand and implement reusable React components and libraries Experience with NextJs framework to build React web applications
• Experience using NodeJS, gulp/grunt, yarn, lint, etc. Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks, with a particular focus on React, that incorporate industry best practices and techniques for writing maintainable code

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full software development life cycle including conception, requirements analysis, specification design, coding

• Participate in technical design, testing and prioritizing components to facilitate the development of new systems or technical solutions

• Utilize industry standard frontend architecture, procedures, best practices and techniques

• Provide timely and high quality information including custom reports, downloaded files and other products

• Develop user-facing features and functionality using React.js and related technologies

• Incorporate ADA compliance, SEO, and site optimization best practices as needed.

• Manage and maintain content management systems using vendor software, including templating and workflow configuration

• Develop and support CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.

• Own production incidents/issues and provide level 2 response to application and platform incidents and alerts

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree or relevant business experience

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Ability to write and test front-end web applications using React.js, incorporating industry best practices and techniques for writing maintainable code

• Ability to build, expand and implement reusable React components and libraries

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks, with a particular focus on React, that incorporate industry best practices and techniques for writing maintainable code

• Experience with NextJs framework to build React web applications

• Experience using NodeJS, gulp/grunt, yarn, lint, etc.

• Awareness of the following platforms is helpful:

o Sitecore Content Management

o Azure DevOps and Jenkins CI/CD platforms

o Experience in developing web applications and screens in compliance with accessibility standards.

o Experience with Agile development principles and methodology

o Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins automation

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
